Meet the Team

Our team are highly trained in many areas and are happy to look after your general health and more specific requirements.  We are dedicated to listening to you, discussing your physical and mental concerns in an honest and open fashion. We will provide you with up to date, evidence-based medical advice to make informed choices when it comes to managing your health.

​The practice is also a training practice for specialist trainees in general practice from the Irish College of General Practitioners training scheme. These trainees are qualified experienced doctors and are undertaking further experience and training in general practice. They remain in the practice from periods of 6 months to 1 year.

Our Doctors

Dr Andrew Lavin

​

Dr. Lavin graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2005. He undertook his GP Training at the Donegal Specialist Training Scheme and became a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners in 2011. Dr. Lavin is a partner at Kilnacourt Surgery.  He has been involved in Medical Teaching for a number of years and was appointed as a G.P. Trainer in 2021.

 

He enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a special interest in children and family health, care of the elderly and minor surgical procedures.

Dr Sean Montague

Dr. Montague graduated from Trinity College, Dublin in 1994. He undertook his GP Training in Scotland. Dr Montague is a partner in Kilnacourt Surgery. He has been a GP Trainer for the past twelve years and is now an Assistant Scheme Director in the Midlands Training Scheme.

 

He has a particular interest in Chronic Disease Management.

Dr Marita Warren

MB BCH BAO MICGP

A native of Co. Kilkenny, Dr. Warren graduated with an honours degree from Trinity College, Dublin in 2011. She undertook her internship in Tallaght Hospital before deciding on a career in General Practice.  Dr. Warren completed her specialist GP training via the South East GP Training Scheme.  Upon completion of this scheme in 2016, she attained membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners.


Her areas of special interest include Women’s Health (including Implanon, mirena/IUCD insertion and removal), Paediatrics and Chronic Disease Management.

Dr Isabelle Thompson

BM DRCOG MICGP

Dr Thompson completed her medical degree in the UK, graduating from University of Southampton in 2010. She completed her GP training in England, becoming amember of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2015. She moved toIreland in 2018 and became a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners the same year.


Her areas of special interest are Paediatrics and Womens' Health (including Implanon/Mirena insertion and removal).

Dr Babatunde Ayeni

Dr Ayeni is a 3"Year GPRegistrar at Kilnacourt Surgery, He graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria in 2010. He is a Member of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (MRCEM) and obtained Postgraduate Diploma, Human factors in patient safety from Royal college of Surgeons Ireland.
With his vast experience in acute care medicine, he hopes to contribute to developing a robust Pre- hospital care in Ireland and to be a safety advocate for efficient healthcare delivery at Primary care level.

​

He is quite Jovial and enjoys performing Minor Procedures.
